The American University in Beirut Press published an anthology that includes a chapter by Dr. Foley on Muhammad Siblini, a Lebanese American who helped the U.S. army defeat the Axis in North Africa during World War II: “When the Qur’an was America’s Weapon for Freedom in the Middle East: Muhammad Siblini and the Defeat of the Axis in North Africa,” in Shifting Borders: America and the Middle East/North Africa.
