AGSIW publishes Dr. Foley’s article on Saudi poet Hatem Alzahrani: “The Meccan Modernist: Hatem Alzahrani, Poetry, and a New Saudi Synthesis”

On July 25, 2022, the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington published Dr. Foley’s piece, “The Meccan Modernist: Hatem Alzahrani, Poetry, and a New Saudi Synthesis” In the piece, Foley examines the poetry of Alzahrani, which blends classical and modern Arabic poetry with the ideas that he learned while studying in the United States between 2010 and 2019.
